
Boise School District's ever popular Girls Powered STEM Event recently attracted more than 2-hundred students. The annual two-day camp is designed to encourage and inspire girls to pursue careers in Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (STEM).
The annual event is for girls going into grades 4-6. This year, the program was held at Amity and Garfield elementary schools on June 8th and 9th, 2017.
Students received hands-on learning in a wide variety of STEM subjects, including: Architecture/Interior Design; Robotics/Tech Toys; Hands on Climate Change; Tech Savvy Computer Services; Veterinarian Skills Ada County Paramedics; High Tech Weather Forcasting; and Lego SumoBots.
