My name is Matt Rutte and this is my third year a a school counselor at Hillside.Prior to Hillside, I have been at Amity Elementary, Borah High School, and North Junior High. I also taught for five years in the Meridian School District. I received my BA in History from Western Washington University 1997, an MEd in Secondary Education from Western Washington University 2000, and my MA in School Counseling from Boise State University 2005.

I am the father of an amazing ten year old daughter. In my free time I enjoy golfing, biking, and anything else that I can do outside with my wife and labrador retriever.
